four channel video installation
Roll is a four channel video installation that displays four models, rhythmically engaged in log rolling in a swimming hole on the island of Vinalhaven, Maine. The work combines references from Eakins to Nauman, structuralist film to Jackass. Projected on translucent scrims, the resulting installation presents the opportunity for layered viewings that continue my interest in optics and transparency.
